Sessions take place simply, on a massage table or chair, wearing comfortable clothes or underwear based on your preference. The Liberating Movement
The Conscious Movement Workshop is a Mentastics workshop, developed by Milton Trager as a continuation of his approach. These are simple, fluid, and playful movements that help free the body and mind. The goal of Mentastics sessions is to teach you how to move lightly and effortlessly by becoming aware of your tensions in order to release them more effectively.
Who Are Mentastics Sessions For?
Mentastics sessions are accessible to everyone, regardless of age or physical condition. Whether you’re looking to reduce stress, improve general well-being, or simply explore a new relationship with your body, Mentastics is for you. Movements can be done **standing, sitting, or even lying down**, based on your comfort and physical needs.

Two options are available to you for Mentastics.
Group Workshop or Private Session
In a group Mentastics workshop, you will experience a fulfilling journey centered on conscious movement.
The workshop begins with an introduction to the principles of this practice, followed by a gentle warm-up with stretches and breathing to prepare your body. You’ll then move into free exploration, moving spontaneously based on your sensations, guided by inspiring themes drawn from the moment. After this active phase, you’ll have time to feel and integrate the effects of the movements, followed by a sharing session in a safe and caring space. The workshop ends with relaxation exercises and a reflection on your experience.
Private Mentastics Session: On Table or Chair
A private Mentastics session, whether on a massage table or chair, offers a personalized and attentive experience tailored to your specific needs. This individual approach allows full focus on your comfort and sensations.
On a Massage Table:
When you choose a table session, you’ll lie down comfortably, usually in light clothing or underwear. The practitioner uses gentle, fluid, and respectful movements to mobilize your body, exploring freedom of movement in each gesture. Movements are adapted to your needs and physical condition, allowing deep release of tension and greater body awareness. This position promotes total relaxation and full immersion in the practice.
On a Chair:
If you prefer a chair session, you’ll sit in a relaxed and comfortable posture. Movements will be adjusted for sitting, with a focus on fluidity and freedom while maintaining an ergonomic position. This option is ideal for those who prefer to remain clothed or need an approach adapted to specific physical limitations.
In both cases, each session is personalized to your sensations and current state. The practitioner gently guides you to explore spontaneous movement and integrate the felt sensations. You’ll also have time to relax, reflect on the experience, and share your thoughts if you wish.
Whether you choose the table or chair, a private Mentastics session provides a safe space to explore, release tension, and rediscover the fluidity and lightness of your movement.
